THE PRODUCER
Fredy Orantes is the owner and farmer of Finca Vista Hermosa in Santa Ana, Guatemala. In his region, Fredy is known for his dedication to high-quality processing, often taking meticulous steps to ensure even drying and proper moisture content. He also focuses on growing a wide range of varietals including hybrids.
THE PROCESS
The cherries were sundried on raised beds until they reached desired moisture content. During this time, Fredy oversees the drying each day and ensures the cherries are turned frequently to dry evenly.
WHY WE LOVE IT
In the cup, notes of mango and a deep, jammy strawberry sweetness give way to a cacao nib finish. This coffee balances tropical acidity with the depth of dark chocolate in a way that we can't get enough of.
