THE PRODUCER

Wilman Merino is a coffee producer in Quilanga, Loja, Ecuador. This lot of typica majorado was grown on his farm at 1950 MASL. This is the first year that The Coffee Quest has worked with Wilman's coffees and we're excited to be representing this lot!

THE PROCESS

Each producer processes their coffee individually, but in a similar fashion: Only fully ripe cherries are harvested, fermented for 48 hours, and sun-dried in marquesinas for 25 to 30 days, depending on the weather.

WHY WE LOVE IT

The Ecuadorian naturals we've seen this season have had a beautiful balance of sweetness and florality. The mouthfeel of this coffee is balanced between being both creamy and juicy, with sweet notes of orange creamsicle, yellow peach, and honeysuckle.
